Trip Overview

Join a short and easy trek to Langtang Valley of the staggering Nepal where you will get the opportunity to explore local villages, visit glaciers, many small peaks, and a comfortable low elevation in between the mystical pine trees, rhododendron flowers, bamboos, to further reach Tsergo Ri (4984m/16353ft), and the alpine meadows of Kyanjin Gompa (3860m/12665ft). Make yourself at home in the wild nature of mighty Langtang Lirung (7246m) towards the north, then the peak of Naya Kangri (5846m) and Gang Chhenpo (6388m) in the south, followed by Dorje Lakpa towards the east which is hardly a meter away from the Tibetan border.

If you dive into the interesting history of this destination, then you will get to know that this area was remarked as the first Himalayan National Park in the year 1971 in Nepal. The ethnicity and the multicultural society will stun you during your 11-days visit especially when you will meet the group of Tamangs who speak the language called Tibeto-Burman and let you go through the traditional roots of Nepal. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu (1300m/4265ft)

Arrival at Kathmandu International Airport where you will be received by the appointed representative who will escort and drop you to the hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day to explore the vibrant and historic city. (Meals not included)

Day 2: Acclimatize Day in Kathmandu

After breakfast in the morning, trip orientation meeting will be organized, after which a Kathmandu Valley tour will be rewarded to introduce you to the city of Nepal since, Kathmandu is an extremely popular destination for trekkers, tourists and adventure seekers. This peaceful city is a multicultural society which incorporates Tibetan Buddhism, Hinduism, and the Western influence in the entire valley. The colorful streets of Nepal hold the glorious Nepalese architecture, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhanath Stupa, and Swayambhunath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple which stands tall on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Welcome-dinner in the evening. (Breakfast and Welcome Dinner included)

Day 3: Drive to Syabrubesi (1460m/4790ft)

After breakfast, attend a trip orientation meeting, after which you drive to Syabrubesi which is 132km away from Kathmandu. (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)

Day 4: Trek to Lama Hotel (2470m/8100ft) - 6-7 hours/1070 in ascent

The trail branches off the main road in Syabrubesi and hike northwards past a police pose. Cross the suspension bridge from over the Bhote Koshi. Then we climb the village of Syabrubesi, mo0nastery, Langtang Khola, the waterfall of Doman, and more. On a second note, the wildlife of Nepal is equally as famous, example yellow-throated martens, langur monkeys, Himalayan black bears, red pandas, variety of birds and more. Moving towards a trail to Bamboo, across which you will cross Dungdung Khola. During the trek, you will get past the refreshing atmosphere of the forest which is filled with cactus, scrub oak, and nettles which we move towards Rimche. We then ascend towards Changtang which is popular with the name of Lama Hotel. (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)

Day 5: Trek to Langtang (3430m/1125ft) - 4-5 hours/980m ascent

Cross the steep forest of oats, maples, pink and white rhododendrons which are directly above the Langtang Khola. Then we march towards Gumanchok, Ghora Tabela which is now a National Park Post. We follow the trail of the yak pastures, helipad, and trek towards Thangshyap. Then comes Ghumba village, huge waterfalls, and Langtang II which have dark-coloured cuckoos, hawks, owls, fruit-eating barbets, and red-billed magpies, parakeet, laughing thrushes and much more. (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)

Day 6: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3860m/12665ft) - 2-3 hours/460m in ascent

On this day you will get past the mani wall, crossing a stream to reach Mundu village, the Yak pastures of Yamphu, to further reach the monastery of Kyanjin Gompa, the peaks of Kimshung, and Langtang Lirung. Acclimatize and explore the surroundings around Nyingmapa School monastery before you reach Kyanjin Gompa. (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)

Day 7: Trek to Tsergo Ri (4984m/16353ft) and return

A challenging 5-hour climb to Kyanjin Gompa to a conical-shaped viewpoint of Tsergo Ri. Taking the east trail to Langshisha Kharka, Yala Kharka, and then return to Kyanjin Gompa to stay for the night. (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)

Day 8: Trek to Ghora Tabela (2970m/9745ft)

Trek back to Lama Hotel. (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)

Day 9: Trek back to Syabrubesi

Head back to Syabrubesi from the Lama Hotel. (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)

Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu

On your second last day, you will go back to Kathmandu where you finally get the time to buy gifts and souvenirs for your family and friends. At night, enjoy your Farewell Dinner and share pictures of the memorable trek. (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)

Day 11: Departure Flight to end the trip

Drop-off at the airport to board your departure flight. (Breakfast included)
