Traveling to Nepal for a Trekking Tour is an ultimate experience of a lifetime, and the trek of Khopra Ridge Community is one of the fascinating trails of the region. Khopra Ridge Community Trek is set away from the busier trails of Annapurna Region and provides an equally breathtaking view of the Himalayan peaks including Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Fang, and Annapurna South.

The trekking expedition takes you through the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu, and then you drive to Pokhara, and then to Syauli Bazaar, from where the actual trek begins. The trail passes through a remote area offering grandeur panoramic views of Mount Annapurna and also dotted with breathtaking landscapes, vibrant culture experience, and unique heritage sites.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu

When you reach Kathmandu, you’ll be welcomed by a representative at the Tribhuvan International Airport who’ll drop you at the hotel. Take rest or stroll around the city and shop. Later in the evening, you’ll have welcome dinner where you can relish authentic Nepalese cuisine and culture show.

Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu

The next day after breakfast, start your tour of exploring the historical and spiritual attractions in the city which are also listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites. You’ll also visit Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Buddhist Shrine, Monkey Temple, Stupas, and more. Later in the day, you get your equipment, meet fellow trekkers, and discuss trekking details.

Day 3: Fly to Pokhara- Driving to Syali Bazaar and Trek to Gandruk

You’ll take an early morning flight to Pokhara accompanied by the breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Once you reach Pokhara, the beautiful scenery, the lake and magnificent mountain ranges enchant you. Later you drive to Syauli Bazaar, and start your trek to Gandruk- a village that is a major recruitment center of the famous Gurkha soldiers and the hub of Annapurna Conservation Area Project.

Day 4: Ghandruk to Tadapani

Ghandruk offers you mesmerizing views of Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, and Hiunchuli mountains. The day starts with trek upwards through Deurali into the dense rhododendron forests. Then the trail takes you to Tadapanu where the breathtaking views of Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, and Hiunchuli Mountains await you.

Day 5: Tadapani to Dobato

You leave for Dobato, and for the coming 5 days, you’ll be trekking in a remote part of the Annapurna region. The trek offers diverse flora and fauna in the route and magnificent views of Annapurna South and Dhaulagiri.

Day 6: Dobato to Upper Chistibung

After breakfast, descend through open ground into the beautiful forest to reach Lower Chistibung pastures. Then you start ascending gradually through a forest and reach Upper Chistibung. You can spot colorful Lophorus (national birth of Nepal) and Himalayan Thar on the ridge above the trail.

Day 7: Trek to Khopra Ridge

The day starts with a steady climb above the tree line through Alpine Meadows and pastures. Then you reach Khopra, and as you approach the ridge you’ll see the tip of Annapurna South where you can go for a short walk to a viewpoint overlooking River of Kali Gandaki, and stunning mountain views of Mount Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and Annapurna South.

Day 8: Rest Day in Khopra Ridge- Tour to Kaire Lake

Start the trek early in the morning to Kaire Lake to enjoy the magnificent views of the Fang. It is considered a sacred lake by Hindus, and the route is dotted with Hindu and Buddhist Shrines on the lakeside. You can take rest or can go further and explore the area.

Day 9: Trek to Swanta Village

The trek begins with descend along the hill side. During the trek, you can view Mount Dhaulagiri creating stunning backdrop to the terraced fields and local traditional houses of the region.

Day 10: Trek to Ulleri

The day starts with descend through the village fields to a small river providing a quick look of the local windmill. Then you cross the suspension bridge and head upward to Chittre Village and join the main trek route at Ghorepani.

Day 11: Trek to Naya Pul- Drive to Pokhara

Today, on your way to Nayapul you pass through amazing Western Nepal hill landscape. The destination marks the end of the trekking trip, and from here you drive back to the beautiful lake city of Pokhara. Check-in to the hotel. Take rest or else you can stroll on the streets of Pokhara and shop.     

Day 12: Sightseeing in Pokhara- Flight to Kathmandu

Start the day early in the morning to enjoy the spellbinding sunrise views behind the Himalayas. Then visit Shat Stupa - Buddhist Stupa, follow the sightseeing tour by visiting Davis Fakks, Shiva Cave, International Mountain Museum, Bindyabasini Temple, etc. You can also go for boating in Phewa Lake, and by afternoon fly back to Kathmandu. Upon reaching, take rest, and in the evening enjoy farewell dinner.

Day 13: Final Departure

With amazing memories fly back home. The Nepal trip comes to an end today, and after having your breakfast, a representative will drop you to the airport approx 3 hours before your flight schedule. Have a safe journey home.
