This 15-days Everest base camp trek is for the adventurous souls who want to see the beauty beyond the frames. It is once in a lifetime opportunity to come closer and see the impeccable views of the world's highest mountains. The journey commences from Kathmandu where our concerned representative will pick you upon arrival and lead you to the hotel.

Enjoy the city tour and get to explore Kathmandu to see some major highlights on the second day. On the third day, you will b flying to Lukla to hit the trail and further head towards the base camp. From here, you will be getting past the beautiful places like Phakding, Namche, Deboche, Dingboche, Duglha, Lobuche. At the famous spot of Kala Pathar, you can witness the stunning views of the Himalayas.

Unlike the popular belief, there is much more to this trek than just getting the gorgeous views of the mountains and the mighty Everest. The route, the memorable journey is in itself a boost to refresh the soul as you come across and learn from the lifestyles of the locals, Sherpa villages, and from the lull in the Buddhist monasteries.

This trek is designed for those who want to experience the other side of the world by not compromising on comfort. You will be staying at the luxurious Yeti Mountain Home, and for six nights in the best available local lodges.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu

After landing at the Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be escorted by the assigned representative to drop you off at the hotel. For the rest of the day, you can explore the nearby places or rest to let go of the jet lag. A welcome dinner will be served at night and hosted by the Alpine Club of Himalaya. Get your hands on the authentic and delicious dishes. You will be spending the night at Kathmandu.

Day 2: Kathmandu City Tour

Get ready for a guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu and visit Durbar Square to taste the religious and cultural side of the city. The historical significance of the place captures the essence and beauty of Nepal in its old temples, monasteries, and stupas. The famous Swayambhunath Stupa - the oldest Buddhist stupa in the world, is perched on the top of a hill.

Then comes, Pashupatinath temple which is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Only Hindus can enter this temple, while the tourists can only see it from a distance, on the eastern side of the Bagmati River. Boudhanath- the largest Buddhist stupa in the world will be your last destination. In the evening, enjoy the welcome dinner.

Day 3: Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla & Trek to Phakding

Take the flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. On your way, you will witness the majestic Himalayas if the clouds are clear. Meet and interact with your crew members when you land and then start your trek to Phakding soon after.

Day 4: Phakding to Namche Bazaar

Trek past the hamlets of Benkar, Monjo, Chumoa at the start of your journey. Travel through the Sagarmatha National Park on this day.

Day 5: Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazaar

Adapt to the high altitude conditions at Namche Bazaar, and take a short climb to look at the picturesque mountains. Then take a visit to the headquarters of Sagarmatha National Park to see the assortment of Everest related things by the ascenders about the Sherpa culture. Here you can also book an interesting hike to Khumjung and also the airstrip at Syangboche (optional). You will spend the night at Namche. 

Day 6: Namche Bazaar to Deboche

Now head towards Pangboche after having your breakfast, and if you get lucky you might as well get to see a wide variety of animals, musk deer, species of birds, Himalayan tahrs, etc on your way. You will cross Kayangjuma, Tengboche, Phunki Thenga before reaching Deboche.

Day 7: Deboche to Dingboche

On this day you will see chortens, mani walls when you travel past the small villages for the close-up views of Ama Dablam. This journey will take you through the Imja Valley, followed by a steep climb that will later take you to your night-stay destination - Dingboche.

Day 8: Dingboche to Dughla

Trek from the Khumbu river valley to reach Dusa village to get the spectacular views of Taboche, Cholatse, and Ama Dablam. To continue your journey, cross through Phulung Karpo, one of the campsite locations of the first-ever successful Everest expedition in 1953. The trail drops down to a glacial stream and rises above, to reach our destination for the day Dughla.

Day 9: Dughla to Lobuche

This will be a day to relive the history of the famous mountaineers who lost their lives by doing something they loved to do at the Mount Everest. Find the stones heaped together to keep alive their memories and will-power. The trail drops to the moraine of Khumbu Glacier giving amazing views of Khumbutse, Pumori, and Lingtren peaks. Then follow a mesmerizing stream to reach Lobuche, and then stay at the lodge for the night.

Day 10: Lobuche-Gorakshep-Everest Base Camp-Gorakshep

This trail will take you through the Changri Glacier which meets the Khumbu Glacier in the west and climbs up a rocky slope to reach Gorakshep. Cross the icefalls, frozen lakes, large boulders to reach the ultimate spot of the Everest Base Camp. Then descend back to Gorakshep where you will be spending your night.

Day 11: Gorakshep to Kala Patthar to Pheriche

After an early breakfast, cross the sandy plain of Gorakshep and then ascend to Kala Patthar. In this challenging and slow climb, you will be rewarded to see more views of the Everest. Enjoy the view before you start your journey down the hill by retracing the way you came up, through Gorakshep and Lobuche. You will be staying for the night at Pheriche by coming from Dingboche, instead of Lobuche.

Day 12: Pheriche-Pangboche-Tengboche-Namche Bazaar

When you go downhill you will go through Pangboche, Sansa, Phunki Tenga, and Kyangjuma before reaching Tengboche. Then you will continue your journey towards Namche Bazaar, where you will also spend the night.

Day 13: Namche Bazaar to Lukla

Before you cross the suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi river, you will go through deep descends, and rocky terrain. Trek through the open plains to rhododendron and pine forests in the landscapes of snow-covered peaks. You will end your trek at Lukla.

Day 14: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu

The concerned representative will drop you off safely at the airport. Although, if you change your mind and fall in love with Nepal (which is very likely), then you can consult our team for more excursions and adventure activities like white river rafting, mountain biking, etc.

Day 15: Departure from Kathmandu

This exciting journey comes to an end on this day. You will be dropped off at the international airport of Kathmandu 3 hours before your departure time.

Good to Know

Kindly note that, during your flight journey from Kathmandu-Lukla and back to Kathmandu, you are allowed to carry maximum of15kg luggage which include the check-in bag.
