Explore the heart of Annapurna in a wild frosty basin ringed by snow-laden mountains through forests of rhododendron, oak, and bamboo passing through villages and rivers to reach the amphitheater of Annapurna sanctuary that is encircled by the famous Himalaya peaks. 

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu

Arrive at the Kathmandu airport, where you will be warmly welcomed by a representative and check in to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore this vibrant city.

Day 02: Acclimatize in Kathmandu

Explore this beautiful vibrant and historic city for the day. You’ll witness religious and cultural places, old temples with historic significance, and old glorious Newari architecture. Later you’ll visit Boudhanath - a Buddhist temple said to be one of the largest in the world.

Meals: breakfast and welcome dinner

Day 03: Fly to Pokhara

After the morning breakfast in the hotel, you’ll get a flight to Pokhara from Kathmandu airport. In Pokhara, you’ll visit the narrow, deep gorge of Seti River and get a drive to reach bat cave and Gupteswar cave. In the evening you’ll go to the Phewa Lake.

Day 04: Drive to Nayapul and Trek to Tikhedhunga

After breakfast, you’ll get a drive to reach Nayapul to start trekking to ABC. A steep trail leads to Birethanti - a large and prosperous village. From here, we will start moving towards the west to reach ACAP, where you’ll get TIMS cards and ACAP permits. After this, you’ll reach Hille, and about 15 minutes above Hille is Tikhedhunga.

Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani

Start crossing Tikhedhunga Khola through a suspension bridge and then drop and cross the Bhurungdi Khola on a large bridge. This trail leads to a stone staircase with more than 3300 steps through a large Magar village. Further, this trail passes through two clear streams and rhododendron forests to see eight different types of species of Nepal's national flower in the hillside below the Ghorepani.

Day 06: Trek to Poon Hill and Tadapani

Trek up to Poon hill to witness spectacular Himalayan panorama extended from Annapurna to Dhaulagiri to Macchapuchhre. Further beyond the viewpoint, this trail goes up and down and passes through the forest, which is a viewpoint of Hamlet. After crossing dense forest and a bridge, we reach Tadapani.

Day 07: Trek to Chhomrong

The trail starts with a long descent of 780m and ascent of 280m through forests, pastures and corn millets to reach Khumbu Khola. After this, we will cross the wooden bridge and reach Dhiklyo Danda. After this climb through a steep trail, we will get a view of Machhapuchhre and pass through Taglung to reach Chhomrong.

Day 08: Trek to Dobhan

After leaving Chhomrong this trail descends on a staircase, we reach the suspension bridge after crossing it we climb through a valley and pass through the forest to climb through a rocky trail to reach Bhanuwa and Sinuwa. Further, you climb through rhododendron forests to reach Kuldi. After crossing the bamboo and rhododendron forest, we reach the stone-paved trail of Subhan.

Day 09: Trek to ABC

This will be a long ascend, which starts through crossing a stream. You will climb across a landslide to reach a forest with a small temple, and you must not carry eggs or meat beyond this point. We will pass through the Shiv temple and Hinku cave. You’ll pass through the east side and climb through an unusual mix of bamboo and birch to reach Bagar. You’ll climb through more avalanche paths and then through forests. The path will be descending through a stream. After crossing this pass through a stone staircase, the trail leads to Machhapuchhre base camp. Here we can see the panoramic view of the mountains like Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, AnnapurnaIII, and ever-changing Machhapuchhre. This trail further follows a stream, and goes past a few huts. Walking through prayer grounds, we reach ABC and the sanctuary.

Day 10: Trek to Chhomrong

Head back down to the valley and retrace our feet to reach Dobhan and back to Chhomrong.

Day 11: Trek to Ghandruk

Start descending towards Ghandruk and return to the trail junction at Taglung, and then we reach Kimrong village just above Khumbu Khola. In Kimrong, we cross through the bridge and stay on the left trail and climb out of Khumbu valley. After climbing through the forest, we reach Kumrong Danda. After this, we will reach Ghandruk village which has two museums.

Day 12: Trek to Landruk

This trail will be the steepest path of the entire trail from Ghandruk to Landruk. This is 70 degrees vertical. We will climb up to Landruk in equally shorter steep. After crossing two villages we will reach Landruk.

Day 13: Trek to Dhampus

Enjoy the early morning view of Landruk. This trek is pretty easy with the first hour somewhat steep and for two hours a gentle downhill path and then the other two hours to pass through forest and villages. It will take 2 hours to reach Dhampus. We will pass the ACAP region to and check out at Dhampus.

Day 14: Trek to Phedi

We will take a short walk to reach Phedi and from there drive to Pokhara.

Day 15: Fly back to Kathmandu

We will take a flight from Pokhara to reach Kathmandu and the staff will drop you off at the hotel. This is a leisure day, which you can spend on shopping and buying gifts. In the evening, you’ll get a farewell dinner, where you can share your experiences.

Day 16: Fly back home or extend your holidays

If you prefer to stay longer, you may consult us for short tours, or else our staff will drop you at the international airport before 3 hours from your scheduled flight.

Food

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu

Day 03: Fly to Pokhara

Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani

Day 07: Trek to Chhomrong
