Join us for this fun winter trek; Kedarkantha is referred to as one of the best treks India has to offer. Located in the Western Garhwal region of North Indian state of Uttrakhand, Kerdarkantha trek is perfectly suitable for beginners who want to go for a thrilling getaway in the lap of the Himalayas.

Covered with a thick and serene blanket of snow in the winters, it is destination that will surely take your breath away. This time of the year is also great to appreciate the rich variety of flora and fauna you witness while trekking in the region.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival- Pick up from Dehradun- Drive to Sankri: Pick-up around 6:30 am from Dehradun Railway Station and then drive to Sankri for an overnight stay at a Hotel.  

Day 2: Trek to Juda-ka-Talab: Start your day early for a trek to Juda-ka-Talab from Sankri. It will take 4-5 hours.

Day 3: Trek to Kedarkantha Base: The day is to trek to Kedarkantha Base camp from Juda-Ka-Talab, crossing the distance of 3-4 hours.

Day 4: Trek to Kedarkantha Summit: Get ready for your summit. Trekking for 6-7 hours you’ll reach the destination, and then descend to Hargaon Campsite.

Day 5: Trek back to Sankri: You’ll leave for Sankri from the Hargaon campsite region. Upon reaching the destination, settle yourself at the hotel.

Day 6: Drive back to Dehradun: Drive back to Dehradun for the journey ahead.

Good to Know

  • It is advised to avoid smoking; it makes you lethargic and causes shortened breath during the trek.
  • Drinking and substance consumption is strictly prohibited and illegal.
  • Do not litter and keep the surroundings clean.
  • Carry trek essential comfortable clothes, shoes, sunscreen, hygiene kit, safety gear, etc.
  •  It is mandatory to carry Personal Toiletries and Medication kit.
