Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Dehradun to Dhaula 

First, drive from dhaula to Dehradun traversing across the towns of Mussoorie, and then pass through the beautiful ethnic villages of Nainbagh, Damta, Naugaon, Purola, and Mori. Embark on a beautiful drive along the astonishing Rupin River passing through the oak and conifer forests. Reach Dhaula by evening and then overnight in camps. 

Day 2: Dhaula – Sewa- Aaligad 

This is the first day of the trekking tour. The trail is exactly, on the right of the valley, passing by the beautiful Pisa and Khana villages across the rivers. Climbing to the Danti Dhar and the trail takes you amidst the mysterious rhododendron forests. Moving towards the popular Hindu Temple in Sewa, this lies on the border of two states. On the famous site Aaligadh, there is a river, where you can witness the tranquil beauty of nature and then, setting up the camp. 

Day 3: Aaligad to Jakha 

Continue your trek towards the true right of the valley. Then start moving towards the beautiful and remote villages – Dodra and Kuar. After crossing the bridge below the Kuar village, take the steep path and climb up to the village. This path will join the trekking trail, just on the true right below the Jiskun Village. Then the trail climbs to the Jiskun Village, which is situated high above the convergence of Rupin and Narkund khad. Then, descend steeply towards the side tributary and then for some time continue trekking to the steep ascent to reach Jakha. 

Day 4: Jakha – Burans Kandi 

Trek amidst the alluring blue alpine and maple forests and witness the breathtaking scenarios. Then, after a while, the trail would descend towards the river, after crossing the small bridge, you would reach true left of the valley. Overnight Riverside camping where you might watch some of the shepherds. 

Day 5: Burans Kandi to Upper waterfalls 

The scenarios of the woods convert into a silver birch and rhododendron proceeding towards the wonderful alpine meadows. The area presents picturesque and panoramic views of wildflower and blue poppies. In between the valley, witness the panoramic views of the sky-touching waterfalls leading you towards the pass. 

 Day 6: Upper Waterfall Camp - Rupin Pass- Ronti Gad 

On your way to the pass, you would witness the charming scenarios of hanging glaciers and snow-fields. The narrow, rugged and steep trail is full of boulders. From the pass, you can witness the stunning views of the Kinnaur Kailash Ranges. Now, descending towards the alpine meadows, where you would get several camping options. 

Day 7: Ronti Gad – Kanada – Sangla 

Then on this day participate on this splendid short trek to through the deodar, blue pine, and oak forests, overlooking the Sangla Valley. The valley is popular for the best quality apples in the world. For many treks, this is the starting point. Now, from Sangla one can easily get any private or public transport.

  • Accommodation arrangements in Dehradun
  • Personal luggage, must not exceed the limit of 12kg per bag per person, it could be carried by the porters and mules at Rs 300 per day per bag

Good to Know

Make sure you pack all the essentials carefully. Try to carry high ankle, water-resistant, good grip trekking shoes. Also, you are expected to pack a personal first-aid kit and winter adorns. All the programs would be conducted as mentioned in the itinerary. If there are any significant changes, due to the unavoidable circumstances, your cooperation is expected.
