Trip Overview

Rumak is an appropriate trekking destination to be attempted while you are in Leh during the winters. January, February, and March are the best months to experience the extremes of the seasons of frost in this part of the Himalayan horizon.

With Rumbak on the cards, you get to gear up for a sufficiently challenging real snow trek! We will be passing through the biodiversity-rich Hemis National Park, located 3,960 m above sea level with a rich diversity of wildlife to spot-- snow leopard, Tibetan wolves, blue sheep, Asiatic ibex, Ladakhi urial, and more, along with avifauna.

Trek Highlights:

  • Hemis national park
  • Snow trekking
  • Authentic homestay
  • Snow Leopard Sanctuary
  • Small group size
  • Stay in hotels/guesthouses
