Trip Overview

The Valley of flowers trek is the most popular trek of Life Away from Life (LAFL) in the Himalayan region of Uttarakhand. The Valley of Flowers is located in the Western Himalayan area of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 3800 meters. It is a paradise for photographers and a wonderland for the travelers with its alluring meadows of colorful alpine flowers, a variety of flora, and fauna of Uttarakhand.

The Valley of Flowers is a World Heritage site that is also a part of the holy Nanda Devi Hemisphere. It is a unique blend of scenic spaces, herbal and Ayurvedic secrets, a beauty cracker for the wandering eyes. The valley is home for some endangered animals like pheasant and other surprising high-altitude birds.

The trek commences from Govind Ghat and is about 13 km gradual ascend to the Ghangaria Village (3500 meters). This entire route is full of pilgrims, eateries and other stalls along the way. From the village, the 8 km trek to Valley of flowers is an exciting journey with your friends or partners. There is also another route that leads you from Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib- a religious place for the Sikh community.

The Valley of Flowers will give you a glance at the infinite possibilities of nature by looking at the running streams, floral pastures in the beautiful backdrop of the green Himalayas.

Itinerary

Day 1: Meet at Haridwar

Travel to reach Haridwar and meet our LAFL experts who will guide you thoroughly about the Valley of Flowers trek. Spend the day at Haridwar and visit the local markets with vibrant streets. Attend the famous Ganga aarti, mouth-watering chaat. You will be spending the night at the hotel.

Day 2: Haridwar to Govindghat (8 hours approx.)

Leave early in the morning to Govindghat on a private bus, and spend the night at the hotel.

Day 3: Govindghat to Ghangaria (13km)

After having an early breakfast, leave for the trek to Ghangaria, and spend the night at the selected hotel.

Day 4: Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers trek (6km)

Have an early breakfast, pack your lunch and then leave for the Valley of Flowers trek at 3342-3658 meters height. Then take a joyful walk to witness the beauty of Himalayan fauna after which you will return back to Ghangaria in the evening for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib Trek (6km)

In the morning, we will trek from Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib (4329m) which is quite a steep climb. It is mentioned in the Guru Granth Sahib which is a Sikh holy book that Guru Gobind Singh meditated in between the snowcapped mountains on the shores of a lake which are now recognized as Hemkund. Then spend the night in Ghangaria at the assigned hotel. 

Day 6: Ghangaria to Govind Ghat Trek (13km)

Pack your lunch after having an early breakfast, and then start to descend towards Govind Ghat where you will be spending the night as well.

Day 7: Govindghat to Haridwar

This day marks the end of the Valley of Flowers trek with the return bus ride to Haridwar from Govindghat.

Good to Know

●Cancellation can be done in three different ways;
   1) by written communication
   2) by email to tour organizers plus a written letter to the registered office.
   3) by visiting the registered office in Navi Mumbai  (address is mentioned on the website).

●Cancellation Charges: 100% of the costs are returned if the cancellation is done 30 days prior to the arrival date. 75% of the costs are returned if the cancellation is done within 30 days. 50% of the costs are returned if the cancellation is between 16-29 days before arrival. 25% of the money is returned in the time period of 8-15 days before the arrival date, while 7 days before the arrival does not qualify for any refund.

●Kindly note that the cancellation charges gets calculated on the ‘total’ amount that has been paid and not on the advance payment. If the customers do not pay the full amount while registering, then the cancellation policy will stand void in this case.
