Trip Overview

This scenic, summer high altitude trek winds its way through lush green meadows and alpine forests. With memorable views of snow-capped peaks this is one of the most beautiful treks in Himachal Pradesh. Mountain streams, glaciers, log bridges… all go into making this a trek worth experiencing. This trek would be any photographer’s delight to capture the mesmerizing view of the majestic Mt. Deo Tibba (6001 m), Mt. Indrasan (6221 m), the two highest peaks of the Pir Panjal Range of The Himalaya. The Deo Tibba base – Chota Chandertaal trek starts from Jagatsukh in Manali. Chances of spotting some wild life are high as 'Seri - Chota Chandertaal' region is known to have the maximum wildlife in the region. 
On this trip we will also go on a guided tour of Manali, Old Manali and Naggar and visit the not to miss places as well as the well hidden secrets of this quaint pristine town. For those who want to kick their adventure up a notch we have the option of India's highest Zip-lining in Naggar and a safe high flying paragliding experience.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Manali and check in at 'dA Base'

Arrive in Manali in the morning and reach Base Camp, Haripur, Manali. After refreshments, unwind after the long drive. Explore surroundings like the beautiful ‘somvan’ by the river Beas, Naggar Castle, Roerich art Gallery etc. Back in time for a relaxed evening with the team over a bonfire and early dinner to get up early in the morning.
In the evening, gather for “around the bonfire” conference with the other climbers and the team members of Mountaineerz who would be your guides on the expedition. Break the ice with some great dinner and chill with your fellow climbers.

Make sure you drill your guides and instructors with any questions or doubts you may have pertaining to the trek. They will be happy to answer your questions and share with you a few tricks of the trade and tips to make your adventure a happy and successful one.

Day 2: Manali–Haripur–Jagatsukh–Chikka (3000 m)

 4 hours  Camping

Early wake up and breakfast. At 9 a.m. we’ll drive to 12 Hazaar, from where the trek starts. This drive will take us from 5600 feet to about 9000 feet in one hour. The trail ascends gradually through thick pine forests along the narrow Allain Nullah valley. Look out for some of wildlife along the way. Chikka is famous for its small 'Shiva Temple' and is a beautiful camping spot by ''Alain' glacial stream

Day 3: Chikka – Seri (3200 m)

 5 hours  Camping

Today’s trail is all uphill and mostly through birch forests. The campsite at Chikka is 
almost at tree-line giving you some fabulous views. It is a known fact that the Seri area 
has the maximum wildlife in the region.

Day 4: Seri-Tainta(3900m)-Deo Tibba Base-Chota Chandertaal

 8 hours  Camping

The initial part of the trek is all flat and easy till you come to a stream. After crossing the stream the trails is uphill through boulders till you come to the camp which is on moraine. 
Today is the longest day of trekking and we will do the stretch from Tainta to Deo Tibba Base pure Alpine style leaving our entire load behind at the camp in Tainta. We walk through stretch of moraine to reach ‘Chota Chandertaal’, also the base camp for climbing Mt. Deo Tibba, Mt. Indrasan and Mt. Norbu. After spending a couple of hours at leisure at this mesmerizing place, we will trace our steps back to the campsite at Tainta.

Day 5: Tainta – Chikka

 4 hours  Camping

Return by the same route that you took on the way up, passing the campsite at Seri.

Day 6: Chikka – Jagatsukh – Manali

 4 hours  dA Base- comfortable rooms on 3 sharing

Today is the last day of trekking. After breakfast start the downhill walk to Jagatsukh. The trek ens here. there'll be vehicles waiting that will drop us backt our base in Haripur. After a hearty lunch and refreshing ourselves, we'll go out on a guided tour of Naggar. visit the Roerich Art Gallery, Naggar Castle etc. Option of Paragliding and Zip-lining (highest in India). 
Celebratory dinner at base with bonfire and bbq.

Day 7: Explore Manali and Departure

 Sleeper bus

After a hearty breakfast we will make arrangements for a guided tour Manali. Spend the day at leisure exploring Manali, Old Manali. Visit Hidimba Temple, and Manu Temple, shop for souvenirs in Old Manali. Most Luxury buses depart from Manali after 4 pm.

PAYMENT

A deposit of 10% is required when booking this tour. The remaining balance will be charged 45 days prior departure. For any bookings within 45 days of departure, the full tour amount will be charged upon booking.

OTHER PRACTICAL INFORMATION•We suggest guests arrive at our base in Haripur, 14 kms from Manali on the Naggar road, the night before the start of the trek.•Soak up the atmosphere – close your eyes and take in the sights and sounds as you explore and observe.•Do not litter the environment. Polythene and plastics are non-biodegradable and unhealthy for the environment and must not be littered or burned and should be carried back.
