Trip Overview

This less-traveled route is the best to experience the brilliance of the Annapurna region and culture. The exotic trail moves through alpine meadows, lush valleys, dense forest, streams, and waterfalls. This trek is the perfect option for self-discovery in this isolated and less-touristy location.

The trek follows a steep trail to Mardi Khola River, winding into dense forest and wildlife. The trek rewards you with spectacular views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Hiunchuli and Mt. Fishtail. Hike through the alpine valleys with steep slopes, filled with bamboo and rhododendrons. Climb up to 15,000 feet from High camp and capture mesmerizing views from the top.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu and Check-in at hotel
Reach Kathmandu International Airport and our representative will meet you there and transfer you to the Hotel. The tour manager will meet you at the Hotel and brief all the participants about the trip, followed by a welcome dinner.

Day 2: Flight/Drive to Pokhara
Enjoy early breakfast and leave for Pokhara via flight or drive. Explore the scenic beauty of the country during transfer. Reach Pokhara by evening and enjoy a boating trip on Fewa Lake. Overnight stay at Hotel in Pokhara.

Day 3: Pokhara to Dhampus
Commence the day with a 30 minute drive to Phedi from where the trek trail begins. Ascend upwards through a series of steps, followed by a dirt road and stone staircases. Reach the top of the ridge and enter the main Dhampus valley. Enjoy panoramic views of the Annapurna range from the camp area. Overnight stay at campsite will be arranged.

Day 4 : Dhampus to Forest camp
Trek through a dense forest of birch, rhododendron, oak, maple, and daphnia tress. You’ll reach the Forest camp after 6 hours of trekking and stay there overnight at the campsite.

Day 5: Forest camp to Low camp
Continue the trek through a classic forest with mosses and lichens. Enjoy glimpses of Mt. Machhapuchhre, Mardi Himal, and the Annapurna through the fern trees. Reach Low camp after 5-6 hours of trek and stay overnight at campsite.

Day 6: Low camp to High camp
Enjoy early breakfast and hike to the highest point of the trek. Climb up to 15,000 feet above the ice fields and blue glaciers in Annapurna sanctuary. Return to the camp in the evening for overnight stay.

Day 7: High camp to Siding Village
Trek downwards through a forest, followed by terraced fields that go 1600 meter down. Walk along the Mardi Khola River, winding through pretty fields and farms. Cross the suspension bridge to reach the Siding village. You’ll stay overnight at a camp.

Day 8: Siding Village to Pokhara
Follow a short trek trail and reach the end, where you will board a taxi to Pokhara. Enjoy lunch and visit Mahendra Cave, David’s fall and various lakes. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Day 9: Pokhara to Kathmandu
Board a flight or drive via bus/taxi to Kathmandu. Visit the city as per your wish and enjoy the Nepali cultural dinner show with the whole trekking team.

Day 10: Departure
The staff will drop all the guests at    Kathmandu International Airport for their departures.

Good to Know

Accommodation for all the guests will be arranged in a 3-star hotel for Kathmandu and Pokhara. During the trek, all the trekkers will be accommodated in lodges/teahouses.

3 meals will be served in a day which will include noodles, handmade breads, Dal Bhaat, soups, potatoes.

This is an easy-to-moderate trek but it is always good to have a basic level of fitness. Participants are requested to start working out a month prior to the start of the trek.
