Trip Overview

Khopra Danda Trek recently opened its gate for the trekkers to access the famous Nangi Village and to expose the various ethnicities of the region. This rural trek near the Poon hill offers spectacular views of the snow-covered Himalayas. Nangi Village is a progressive and advanced village with a wireless internet facility, vocational training school, and a handmade paper factory. Another attraction of this vibrant trek is the Khopra hill. Get a wonderful opportunity to climb to the Khopra hill and enjoy mesmeric views from the top. This trail is non-strenuous and passes through beautiful forests, farming fields, villages, and mountain streams. The Khopra trek encourages eco-tourism through its beautiful homestays and lodges that are run by the local people. Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu and Check-in at hotel
    Reach Kathmandu International Airport and our representative will meet you there and transfer you to the hotel. The tour manager will meet you all at the hotel and brief about the trip, followed by a welcome dinner.
  • Day 2: Drive/fly to Pokhara
    We will either fly or drive to Pokhara and enjoy a short walk around the Fewa Lake upon arrival. Overnight stay at a hotel will be arranged.
  • Day 3: Trek to Nayapul to PurnaGaun
    Get up early and drive to Nayapaul, to reach the start point of the trek. Commence trek towards the northeast direction and cross a suspension bridge, which goes over the Modi River. Pass through the Deupur village and follow the uphill trail until you reach Purna Gaun. Spend the night at a lodge in Purna Gaun.
  • Day 4 : Trek to Lespar
    Trek through some farming fields and villages for an hour. Make your way through a forest and reach Lespar. Stay the night in a hotel.
  • Day 5: Trek to Nangi village
    Begin your trek and climb through forests and steep hills. Eventually, you will reach Nangi village and you can explore the Secondary school and a Nepalese brown paper factory. Enjoy views of the Dhaulagiri Mountain range from the village.
  • Day 6: Trek to Mohare Camp
    Today’s trail goes uphill via the Hampel pass towards Mohare camp. We will cross a wild forest and view the mesmeric Annapurna range on the way. Spend the night at Mohare Camp.
  • Day 7: Trek to Swanta
    We begin a downhill journey from the Mohare Camp and pass through a trail covered by Juniper, rhododendron, oak, and pine trees. Descend down to reach Ghorepani and enjoy lunch there. Continue trek to Chitre village for an hour and take the route that will take you to Swanta Village. This village is the gateway to Khopra Trek.
  • Day 8: Trek to Chhsitibang
    Head towards the forest and follow a pleasant path to reach a stream. Cross the stream and stop for lunch at Kharka. Climb the Khopra hill for 1.5 hours to reach Chhisitibang. Stay the night at a camp amidst the beautiful scenery.
  • Day 9: Trek to Khopra
    Today we climb the remaining distance of the Khopra hill and reach the campsite. You will be able to access the Internet and telephone in this area.
  • Day 10: Trek to Dobato
    From Khopra we can either take the high route or low route to Dobato:
    High route- Recommended for the spring season. Trek above Khopra through rhododendron forest and follow a narrow and slippery trail to each Dobato
    Low route- Recommended for the winter season. This trail is a little longer and goes downhill through a forest to reach Dobato.
  • Day 11: Trek to Ghandruk
    Trek along the forest trail to Isaru and reach Tadapani junction. You can view Mt. Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, and Hiunchuli from here. Follow an easy trail to Ghandruk and pass through rhododendron forests with Langurs.
  • Day 12: Trek to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara
    Trek through a pleasant trail and witness a beautiful landscape alongside. Reach the end point of trek and board the vehicle that will drive you to Pokhara.
  • Day 13: Drive/fly to Kathmandu
    Get up early in the morning and take a flight or board a bus to Kathmandu. The staff will transfer you to the hotel, followed by a farewell dinner at night.
  • Day 14: Departure
    Our staff will drop you at the Kathmandu International Airport for departure.
