This is an exciting and incredible trek in the quiet region of Langtang. Langtang Gosaikunda Pass Trek is a short trek offering quiet space and unspoiled natural settings to explore. The trail is challenging yet awarding, as it offers an opportunity to witness the most spectacular views of the mountains, lakes, forests, etc.

The trail is pristine and remote as compared to Annapurna or Everest region trek. It offers a chance to pass through various villages of different ethnic groups and know about their traditions, culture, language, food, and lifestyle. Spring happens to be the best season for this trek but winter also witnesses some footfall.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Day in Kathmandu

Once you arrive at Tribhuvan Internation Aiport in Kathmandu Nepal, you’ll be received by our representative. Then he’ll transfer you to the hotel, where you’ll be welcomed with a garland in respect of Nepalese culture. Take rest and then meet the manager of the tour at the hotel to discuss the trip details.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubensi

The next day you’ll drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubensi that takes around 6-7 hours. During the drive, enjoy scenery dotted with lush forest, rivers, mountains, and several quaint villages. You reach Dhunche, then one hour drive to Syabrubensi and stay there overnight.

Day 3: Trek from Syabrubensi to Lama Hotel

The first day of your trek expedition begins after breakfast and takes around 5-6 hours to reach the destination. The trek crosses Bhotekoshi, and then you walk on the other side of Langtang Valley following the banks of Langtang Khola. The trek route is surrounded by spectacular scenery and takes you through the village of Bamboo Rimche, Donovan, and then you reach Lama Hotel.

Day 4: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village

The trek starts after breakfast, and today you’ll see the Langtang Lirung from Ghode Tabala. The trek route is a walk through the forest of rhododendron. Around 4-5 hours of walk takes you to Langtang Village and you stay there overnight.

Day 5: Trek from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa

The route is going to be an easy and short one but slow-paced due to altitude rise. The route is gentle with a more open valley where you enjoy the mesmeric Mountain Views. Then you reach the destination after 5-6 hours, and after lunch, you can go for a hike to Kyanjin Ri.

Day 6: Acclimatization day at Kyanjin Gompa

Rest day at Kyanjin Gompa to acclimatize and garner the opportunity to explore and walk around the area. You can go to Cherko Ri to have the best mountain and Langtang region view.

Day 7: Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Rimche

Following the same way, you cover a distance of the six-hour walk and reach Rimche to stay at the hotel.

Day 8: Trek from Rimche to Thulo Syabru

You follow the same trail to reach Pahiro. Then the trail separates to Thulo and Syabru. From here, the trail ascends for about one and a half hours, drops down again where you cross the bridge, and then climbs up to reach the destination. Thulo Syabru is a bigger Tamang Village.

Day 9: Trek from Thulo Syabru to Chandanbari

The trek today takes you on an ascent of 3 hours, then a gradual walk for two hours. You pass through the forest witness the stunning Mountain View that forms magnificent scenery. You reach Chandanbari known for its famous cheese factory and enjoy the taste of fresh cheese.

Day 10: Trek from Chandanbari to Gosainkund

The route includes a lot of ascending and makes you feel tired than the previous days. The trail gains more altitude adding long climb hours. You can enjoy the Mountain View from Lauribinayak Pass, Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Annapurna Mountain, and several peaks around. Crossing the distance of 5-6 hours, you reach the destination and enjoy the lake view around your hotel in Gosainkund.

Day 11: Trek from Gosainkund to Ghopte

The trek starts early morning. You walk to Gosainkund Pass to enjoy the magnificent natural setting. Now walk back down to reach the other side of the Helambu Trekking trail passes through a narrow and rocky route. After completing the trek of 6-7 hours, you reach Ghopte for overnight stay.

Day 12: Trek from Ghopte to Kutumsang

The walk starts with ascend of three hours to reach Thadepati that gives you an amazing viewpoint of the mountains of Helambu Area. Then descend of three hours makes you reach Kutumsang for overnight stay.

Day 13: Trek from Kutumsang to Chisapani

The route for today’s trek includes both up and down with spectacular views of the countryside. You pass through various villages with different ethnic groups. Once you arrive at Chisapani after a good 5-6 hours walk, magnificent views of mountains awaits. The place is ideal for a sunrise view.

Day 14: Trek from Chisapani to Sundarijal then drive to Kathmandu

Wake up early to enjoy a stunning view of the sunrise. After breakfast, get ready for an easy day trek. The trail of four hours to reach Sundarijal begins with ascend to Shivapuri and then descend to Sundarijal. During the trek, you can also enter Shivapuri Wild Life Protected Area and enjoy breathtaking scenery and sight of wild animals, birds, and other species.  Then you board the bus from Sindarijal to Kathmandu which is about an hour ride to your hotel.

Day 15: Departure

Next day after your breakfast, the driver will drop you to the International Airport for final departure.
