It is probably the most widely trekked route in the entire Himalayas and most probably in the world as well. Witness the grand view of the mighty mount ranges including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu. The charming traditional villages, dramatic deep valleys, mountain scenery, rivers, glaciers, and Buddhist culture are all part of this fascinating trek.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival

Our staff will pick you from Tribhuvan International airport and transfer you to Hotel. Here the guide will give you a brief about trekking related information.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu

Start your day early morning with a delicious breakfast and go for a sightseeing trip to a heritage site in a private vehicle with a professional guide.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Syange via Beshishar

Start your day early in the morning with a delicious breakfast and get a drive to Besisahar. It will take 5 to 6 hours to reach Besisahar. There is no local transport service available so either you have to take a private microvan or sherpa’s private car or local bus. After reaching Beshisahar, get a drive-in the jeep to Syange with scenic views of Mount Annapurna, Lamjung, and Manaslu from Syange village.

Day 04: Syange to Dharapani

The trek continues on a high road along with fascinating gorges, waterfalls, high hills, and snow-capped peaks in the dirt jeep road for 2 to 3 hours. The drive continues on a winding path from Jagat and Syange village for half an hour. You’ll arrive at the terrace farm on the top of the ridge with magnificent views of the waterfalls. From this, you’ll mainly cross through terraced farms and Chamje village. While leaving the Tal, the drive will get easier after crossing the village and you’ll reach Dharapani for staying overnight in the guest house.

Day 05: Dharapani to Chame

From Dharepani, the changes in vegetation, landscapes, climate, and architecture are easily noticeable. After a pleasurable cool morning walk, you’ll gradually start gaining on altitude at apple country in Dhanaqi with beautiful views of pine forest and views of Lamjung and Annapurna II peaks. You’ll pass through river Marsyangdi and Ratamanang and Kota village by the river’s side. From Kota, take an easy walk of half an hour to reach Chame. You’ll stay overnight here. It's also the headquarters of the Manang region.

Day 06: Chame to Pisang

Start walking on the other side of the river through small villages and pine woods with a few ups and downs until you reach Bratang. A gradual path leads to the bridge and after crossing the bridge, a short steep path starts. As as you climb through a steep path, it brings you to Pisang village. After crossing tree lines, you’ll see the Pisang peak and Chulu peak. A gentle descent of half an hour walk will bring you to Pisang village.

Day 07: Pisang to Manang

From Pisang, a walk leads you to the spectacular views of snow-laden peaks. After a walk for half an hour on a steep path, you'll reach the top of a small hill. This spot offers spectacular views of valleys, Hongdae village, great peaks of Gangapurana, Tilocho, Annapurna II, III, and Chuli east on the back of Pisang village. The walk from here is a gradual path to Hongdae and from here the trail is mostly flat to Manang. Here you will do a morning visit to Braga monastery. This place has outstanding displays of thangkas, statues, and religious manuscripts. From here, after an hour's walk, you’ll reach Manang for staying overnight.

Day 08: Acclimatization in Manang

You’’ get a day off for exploring nearby places. This village offers picturesque scenery of Annapurna II, III, Gangapurama, Tilicho in the South, and Chulu West, Chulu East to the North.

Day 09: Manang to Yak Kharka

After a well-spent day in Manang, the trail leads to an inspiring view of Annapurna II, Cloche, Gangapurna, and Chuli. This terrain has Juniper bushes, the only surviving vegetation in this region. You’ll come to a small settlement of Yak – Kharka for staying overnight.

Day 10: Yak Kharka to Thorung High Camp

Snow climb will start from here and offers a grand view of Gangapurna, Annapurna II, Cloche, and Chuli peaks, which lead to Thorang Phedi for staying overnight. Depending upon your fitness level we can go further on a zigzag path towards the high camp with lodges and treehouses. This will also help in shortening our path for the next day.

Day 11: Thorung High Camp to Muktinath

After having a delicious breakfast early in the morning, you’ll start climbing on the top of the hill for magnificent views of north Annapurna, Bhirkuti, Damodar, and Dhaulagiri range mountains. The trail from Phedi is the beginning of the steep zigzag path to reach on a narrow gradual track and after half an hour on a small glacial pond. After this, the path is covered with snow. After climbing around 3 to 4 hours, you’ll get impressive views of Himalayan scenery. The descent is rough and gradually takes you to Muktinath. After reaching the sacred village Muktinath, you’ll see two to three tea houses. It’s the holiest place for Hindu and Buddhists.

Day 12: Muktinath to Marpha

After Muktinath, it’s a descent to Kaligandaki river valley floor via a brief stop on Ekale Bhatti meaning lonely teahouse. From here, the climate gets windy even in the afternoon. The walk from here is gentle till Jomsom. Jomsom is also the headquarters of the Manang region. After an easy walk of two hours, you’ll reach Marpha for staying overnight. The area from Kagbeni to Larjung is famous for its apple products. You can celebrate with cider, juices, and brandy.

Day 13: Marpha to Lete

The walk is enjoyable from here following the Kaligandaki River. Tou’ll reach Tukuche village with spectacular view of the Nilgiri Mountain and the massif snowfall. The path crosses through Tukuche village, a river bed, a series of plank bridges, and tree lines of rhododendron and pine. You’ll cross through a river bed just before Kalapana village. The path further leads to Kalapani village with spectacular views of Dhaulagiri and snowfall. It is a lovely village with more than 20 houses. A short descent from here brings you to beautiful Lete for staying overnight.

Day 14: Lete to Tatopani

A walk from Lete leads to dramatic changes in the vegetation. You’ll see dry, arid desert to conifer and pine forests passing between two giant peaks Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. The first two hours of the trek passes through many settlements and isolated lodges, tea houses, and an impressive view of the forests before you reach Ghasa the southern area of Thakali people with a few ethnic tribes. This path further leads to a pleasant walk through terraced paddy fields to reach Tatopani for staying overnight. It is a nice village with a hot spring pool near the bank of Kaligandaki.

Day 15: Tatopani to Ghorepani

After a memorable time at Totepani, you’ll depart for Ghorepani on a gradual trail. Cross through a suspension bridge on Kaligandaki River to arrive at the junction of two trails. The route diverts to uphill climb and a steep hillside, dotted villages, and farms. Leaving behind dense forests and terraced farm fields, you’ll reach Ghorepani for overnight halt.

Day 16: Ghorepani to Tikhedhunga

In the morning after an hour hike, you’ll reach Poon-hill to witness a panoramic view of the Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu ranges. Come back for breakfast and follow the trail downhill passing through small villages and forests till you reach Bhanthati. After a short climb, you’ll reach Ulleri village and after that a suspension bridge on Tikhedhunga for staying overnight.

Day 17: Tikhedunga to Nayapul and Drive to Pokhara

After a pleasant morning in Tirkhedhunga, you’ll start walking further and pass through farm villages with great views. You’ll reach the beautiful village of Bhirethati by the Modi River for lunch. From this village, it’ll take 30 minutes to reach Nayapul. You’ll reach Pokhara for staying overnight by the Phewa lake. You'll get a farewell celebration and may enjoy boating.

Day 18: Pokhara to Kathmandu

In the morning, you’ll get a flight for Kathmandu and transferred to the hotel.

Day 19: Departure

Our staff will drop you at the international airport for your final departure from Nepal.

Food

Enjoy the authentic taste of Nepalese cuisine to enhance your trekking experience. Food is freshly cooked and served three times a day during the trek. You’ll get welcome dinner and farewell dinner. You have to buy lunch and dinner in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

Accommodation

Accommodation is comfortable. Spacious and available on twin sharing basis in lodges and tea houses during the trek. In Kathmandu and Pokhara, you’ll accommodate in 3-star hotel in Pokhara nearby Phewa Lake.
