Trip Overview

Located on the north side of Pokhara Valley, this short yet classic 3-day trek offers marvelous views of the Annapurna Himalayas. Dhampus hiking is filled with natural landscapes of Rhododendron forests and the exotic flora and fauna. This trek is suitable for families and old people who wish to enjoy scenic views of Manaslu, Annapurna I, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre. Spend a day, discovering the ancient stupas, monasteries, temples and marketplace in Pokhara. Witness the mesmerizing reflection of the Annapurna range in the magnificent Fewa Lake. The area of the Dhampus is inhabited by ethnic groups such as Gurung, Chhetri, Brahmin, etc. Sarangkot is an exotic location to enjoy serene sunrise and sunset behind the Himalayan range.

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Drive from Pokhara to Phedi and Hike to Dhampus
    Get up early and enjoy a 30 minute scenic drive to Pokhara in order to reach the trek point. Trek through a beautiful forest and countryside to reach the Dhampus hill top. Indulge in up close and mesmerizing views of the Himalayas and stay overnight at this location.
  • Day 2: Hike to Sarangkot via Naudanda
    Trek through the Naudanda village to reach Sarangkot village and witness the sunrise over the snowcapped mountains of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Range. Interact with the local people in the village and enjoy paragliding at 2100 meter from sea level. Stay overnight at hotel.
  • Day 3: Trek down to Pokhara and transfer to Hotel
    Trek down from Sarangkot village to the beautiful city of Pokhara. Explore the city and visit Buddhist stupa, monasteries and the enchanting Fewa Lake. Transfer to Hotel in Pokhara city.
