Admire the glory of mammoth Mount Everest while you tread on your path towards new experiences and feelings. This short but very scenic trek offers a breathtaking view of the world’s highest peaks, including Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Thamserku, and many more. You will get a chance to fly from Kathmandu to Lukla airstrip in the Khumbu region and will hike up to Namche Bazar, Tyangboche to enjoy the views from the monastery. This trek will introduce you to the culture of Sherpa people living high up where the air is chilly and the sceneries are breathtaking.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Sherpa Expedition and trekking staff will receive you at Tribhuvan International Airport and drop you at the hotel. You will receive a warm welcome and attend a pre-trek meeting in the office. This meeting will introduce you to your guide. You have to bring your passport along with three passport size photos and a readable copy of the travel insurance policy. You have to clear the due amount during this meeting.

Day 2: Fly to Lukla and trek up to Phakding

You will reach Lukla after 35 minutes of flight and have breakfast there. And you’ll be assigned to your porters. This trek will begin at the Dudh Kosi River following by the main trail to Namche Bazaar. The trail gets easy after passing through small village, Ghat. After a short walk, you’ll reach Phakding.

Day 3: Trek to Namche Bazaar

After having breakfast the next morning at Phakding, you’ll leave for Namche Bazaar. You’ll trek along the River Doodh Kosi and will cross this majestic river through suspension bridges. You’ll enter into Everest national park, after this you’ll climb to reach Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa Capital.

Day 4: Namche Bazaar Acclimatization Day

Trekkers and climbers will enjoy their time in Namche Bazaar to acclimatize to thinning air of the mountain. You’ll be a part of cultural and traditional activities in Sherpa town. You can visit the Sherpa culture museum and may hike up to Syangboche Airstep. If the weather is supportive, you can enjoy the magnificent views of Kongde, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Everest.

Day 5: Trek to Tengboche Monastery

You’ll trek up to 3,860m altitude to reach Tengboche. There you will get a chance to visit many Monasteries and a 20-foot sculpture of Buddha. You will also get a chance to attend a prayer ceremony in the evening.

Day 6: Trek back to Namche Bazaar

You will follow the same trail to come back to the Namche Bazaar by leaving the mountains behind you. You will come back from Tengboche, to the town of Namche Bazaar.

Day 7: Trek to Lukla

You will come back to Lukla where the trek had begun. This is the last day of trekking. You’ll enjoy and share your experience with your trek mates. The afternoon is completely free so you may wander off to some nearby place, take hot shower and chit chat. In the evening, you’ll enjoy a few celebrity drinks.

Day 8: fly back to Kathmandu

You may enjoy some last-minute glimpse of the mountains on your way back to the Kathmandu from Lukla. After reaching Kathmandu, our representatives will drop you to the hotel from the airport.

Day 9: send back to international airport for your flight way back to home

This exciting trip is about to end. You’ll receive e-mails from your travel companions. A representative from the Sherpa expedition and trekking will drop you to the airport 3 hours before your scheduled flight.

Good to Know

Best time to travel        

September to November and March to May is said to be the best time to explore Everest Panorama Trek. You may do this trek throughout the year but avoid in the monsoon season.

Physical fitness

This is a short, moderate trek suitable for passionate walkers who can walk up to 3 to 4 hours a day easily. This trek is perfect for beginners as well as who have less time but want to take a glimpse of the mighty Himalayas. The trail is not too much difficult, but it is good to do some outdoor activities like swimming, jogging, etc before embarking.
