The trekking tour begins from the holy city of Lhasa where you will enjoy two days of sightseeing. You will pass through beautiful Tibetan villages, high valleys, and green pastures to reach the main attraction of this trek- Tsurphu Monastery. The Tsurphu monastery is built on a beautiful meadow with a gorgeous campsite nearby. This Tibetan trek is dominated by spectacular views of the NyenchenThangla mountain range at every turnthat will fill your souls with serenity. Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival Lhasa Airport and Transfer to downtown Lhasa
    All the guests will be warmly welcomed by our Tibetan staff at the Lhasa Gongkar airport. Our guide and driver will escort all the guests to their hotel in Lhasa city. You will witness the Brahmaputra and Potala Palace on the way.
  • Day 2: Sightseeing tour in Lhasa
    The guests will enjoy delicious breakfast and leave for the Lhasa sightseeing tour. The tour will begin with a rickshaw ride to the Potala Palace and will take 15 minutes to reach the destination. The guests will learn about the history of the city at the Palace and return to the hotel for lunch. We will visit Jokhang temples and Bharkor in the afternoon.
  • Day 3: Sightseeing tour in Lhasa
    For the second day of sightseeing, we will visit the Drepung Monastery, which is 7km away from the hotel. Drepung is the largest monastery in Tibet and around 600 years old. In the afternoon we will visit the Sera monastery, which is 6 km away from the hotel. We will return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
  • Day 4 : Lhasa to Tsurphu Monastery
    Today we will vacate the hotel and drive through Qinghai Tibet Highway to reach Tsurphu Monastery. We will visit Nenang Monastery on the way and enjoy views of the beautiful valleys and villages. We will reach a campsite nearby the Tsurphu Monastery and spend the night there.
  • Day 5: Trek from Tsurphu to Lading
    After enjoying early breakfast, we will begin the trek from Tsurphu Monastery and walk through small valleys, beautiful mountain streams, and nomad camps. You will witness flocks of sheep and Yaks, grazing on the green fields. Lading is one of the highest villages after Tsurphu, and we will stay the night at a campsite nearby.
  • Day 6: Trek from Lading to Tongpa
    Today’s trek will be dominated by even bigger fields, pastures, and camps. We will hike across the Lasar high pass and enjoy incredible views of Nyenchen Thangla from the top. As we move further you will also notice the snow-capped Mt. Tatse and Bitse from a distance. We will spend the night in tents at Tongpa.
  • Day 7: Trek from Tongpa to Dorjeling nunnery and Namtso lake
    We will begin a downhill trek from Tongpa and proceed towards a huge valley. The views of the Nyenchen Thangla mountain range and Dorjeling nunnery will keep you charged throughout the day. The Dorjeling nunnery is inhabited by 60 nuns, as they are the followers of the Kagyupa sect. We will now board the private vehicles from here and drive to Namtso Lake via Yampachen.
  • Day 8: Namtso Lake to Lhasa
    Today we will explore the Namtso Lake and Tashi Do hermitage. Namtso Lake is one of the biggest lakes in Tibet and around 70 km in length. There are many caves and a small monastery that you can visit and after that we will return to Lhasa. The guests will be free for the afternoon and can shop souvenirs, rest, or explore the area. 
  • Day 9: Drive to Lhasa airport
    After enjoying breakfast, our trekking staff will drive all the gueststo Lhasa Airport for departures. We will once again pass the Potala square to gather some memories of this amazing tour.

Good to Know

  • Minimum deposit of 10% of the total price, is mandatory to secure the booking
  • Remaining amount must be cleared 10 days prior to the start date of tour
  • You can edit or transfer an existing booking, 30 days prior to the start of tour
  • Incase of cancellation you will be offered a credit voucher that can be redeemed within 12 months from the issue date

Incase of cancellation of the entire booking, additional cancellation fee would be levied:

  • If cancellation is done 30 days before trip start date- 10% of land cost
  • If cancellation is done 30 days before trip start date- 10% of land cost
  • If cancellation is done 15 days before trip start date- 20% of land cost
  • If cancellation is done 14 days before trip start date- 30% of land cost
  • If cancellation is done 7 days before trip start date- 50% of land cost
  • If cancellation is done less than4 days before trip start date- 100% of land cost
