Trip Overview

Manaslu trek is a thrilling and adventurous trek that goes by the locale of Gorkha, Dhading, and Lanjung. Manaslu Mountain is the 8th tallest mountain in the entire world; therefore, it is in the list of all the passionate trekkers. The trek begins after a beautiful drive from Kathmandu to Dhadingbeshi - Aarughat. You will get to cross several streams, fields, and pastures in the forestland, get the stunning views of Himlung Himal, Pungyen gompa and glacier, and Larkya la pass. The entire journey of 17 days is a treat for the soul, and you will come back as a transformed being. Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
    On your arrival at Kathmandu, you will be picked up from the Tribhuvan International Airport and transferred to the hotel.
  • Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
    After breakfast, we will go sightseeing around the Kathmandu valley. Visit the various UNESCO world heritage sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath temple, etc. Take a brief of the itinerary too.
  • Day 3: Drive to Soti Khola (700m)
    Drive for 6-7 hours from Kathmandu, cross the villages of Aarughat in Dhading to reach Soti Khola in another 2 hours.
  • Day 4: Trek to Machha Khola (950m)
    Begin your trek from the Sal forests, continue past waterfalls to reach Labubesi village. Cross the suspension bridge to reach Maccha Khola village.
  • Day 5: Trek to Jagat (1,450m)
    The trail climbs up towards Yaru Khola and again to Tharo Bharyang before reaching Jagat village.
  • Day 6: Trek to Deng (1,850m)
    Descend to Sirdidas and cross Ghatta Khola via the bridge to Philim village. You will cross the Budhi Gandaki River and lead your way to Deng Khola where you will also be spending the night.
  • Day 7: Trek to Namrung (2,500m)
    Cross the Budhi Gandaki River and the trail passes through Prok village. The route will take you through the steep climb to Namrung. Overnight we will stay at a local guesthouse.
  • Day 8: Trek to Shyala (3,400m)
    Trek to reach Lihi village from Namrung, cross the Sho village, Lho village, and Shyala village. Overnight stay will be at Shyala.
  • Day 9: Trek to Sama Gaun (3,500m) via Pungten gompa and glacier
    We start early in the morning from Shyala village, overlooking the mountains of Ganesh Himal and Himal Chuli. Along the way, you will come across Pungyen Gompa which offers the views of Pungyen glacier and Mamaslu’s north face. After 6 hours, you will be reaching your destination.
  • Day 10: Acclimatization day at Sama village
    On this day, we will get accustomed to the weather and high altitude conditions. We remain at Sama gaon/village for some time, and then go for 3 hours of excursion activity around the Manaslu Base Camp. Return to the guesthouse for the night.
  • Day 11: Trek to Samdo (3,800m)
    Descend towards the Budhi River and follow north to the Manaslu base camp to pass the dense forest of Kermo Kharpa. Climb the large white Kani and finally reach Sambo village. Spend the night at a local guesthouse at Sambo village.
  • Day 12: Trek to Larkya Phedi (Dharamshala 4,450m)
    We descend and cross the Budhi Gandaki River through a wooden bridge. Trek around the Solka Khola valley and stay at a guest house at your destination in Larkya Phedi. Explore the area, the views, and serene surroundings before calling it a day!
  • Day 13: Trek to Bhimthang (3,700m), cross Larkya La Pass (5,219m)
    Trek to the north side of Larkya Glacier and enjoy the views of Larkya Peak and Cho Danda We start with our ascent that overlooks Himlung Himal. After 8 hours, you will reach Bhimthang village and spend the night there.
  • Day 14: Trek to Tilje (2,300m)
    On this day, we will be descending along Bhimthang village and cross the Dudh Khola River. The trail goes through the rhododendron forest and reaches Karche valley. Climb a ridge and proceed towards Gho village and Tilje village. Spend the night at Tilje village.
  • Day 15: Trek to Shree Chaur (1,100m)
    We trek to Shree Chaur, the trail passes through many villages and also Marsyangdi River. In 6-7 hours, we reach Shree Chaur and spend the night at a guesthouse.
  • Day 16: Drive to Kathmandu via Besi Sahar
    We will be driving to Kathmandu from Shree Chaur via Besi Sahar for 7 hours.
  • Day 17: Transfer to airport
    You will be dropped to the Tribhuvan International Airport by the designated individual, as per the flight’s schedule. Adios!
