Trip Overview

Located about 350km northwest of the capital city Hanoi, Sapa is a small town situated amidst the mountain ranges in Lao Cai Province. The town is blessed with alluring physical features such as Hoang Lien Son Range of mountains which also includes the highest mountain peak of Vietnam – Fansipan. This mountain town has always been a center of attraction for the tourists because of its tranquil atmosphere, snow-laden mountains, captivating deep valleys, and diverse and vast tribal communities. The iconic mountain town is carpeted with rice fields and paddies presenting an outstanding picture of greenery.

Itinerary

Day 1: LAO CAI Station – SAPA- LAO CHAI – TA VAN Village (B/L/D)

  • You would reach Lao Cai station in between 5:00 AM – 7:30 AM.
  • There only, you would meet the bus guide, who would take you to Sapa Town.
  • As soon as you are done with the shower, you would be served delicious breakfast.
  • Adjusting your luggage in the room, you would start preparing for your upcoming trek.
  • Make sure you do carry an extra pair of comfortable clothes, trekking gears, toiletries so that you can spend the night at homestay without any trouble.
  • Around 9 AM, you would start your 12km trek down the Muong Hoa Valley towards the Black H’ mong village of Lao Chai. 
  • After that, along the Muong Ho River, move towards alluring deep valleys to reach Dzay Tribe village of Ta Van to know more about the nomadic lifestyle.
     

Day 2: TA VAN to DZANG TA CHAI to BAN HO (B/L/D)

  • After your breakfast, begin your trek to Dzang Ha Chai of Red Dzao Tribe.
  • Lunch at a restaurant and then continue your trek amidst the wonderful scenarios of waterfalls.
  • In the afternoon, trek towards the Tay Tribe Village of Ban Ho.
  • Homestay at the village with the local family for authentic dinner and tasting local delicacies.
     

Day 3: BAN HO to SU PAN to SAPA (B/L/D)

  • After your breakfast, in the village at the homestay, begin your trek to Su Pan, it is the last village you would visit on your trekking trip.
  • You would be surrounded with beautiful green paddy fields and also get a chance for a dip in the river before being picked up for transportation which would take you back to Sapa.
  • Arrival at Sapa and then freshen up and enjoy delicious dinner before taking a bus to Lao Chai.
     

Day 4: HA NOI Arrival 

  • Arrival at Hanoi in between 4:00 am – 6:30 am at Tran Quy Cap Train station. 
  • Transfer to the domestic Airport flight Saigon.
