It will give you a real experience of the remote culture villages. Your trekking journey will be challenging yet suitable for enthusiastic beginners. This 11 nights trek in Himachal Pradesh is all about exploring the cultural beauty, getting close to nature, taking some time off from your hectic lives, and at the same time, getting all your energies out.

Itinerary

Day 1: Reporting in Manali

Your first day will be all about exploring the town and spending some leisurely time. You will also be briefed about your adventure and how everything will take place.

Day 2: Manali to Lama Dugh

After the morning breakfast, your trip will begin with a short yet challenging first-day trek of almost four hours. The trekking goes through so many beautiful valleys, mountain villages, lush green meadows, and steep and gradual slopes. After you reach your destination for the day that is Lama Dugh, you will be setting your tents there at the picturesque alpine meadow. The campsite overlooks the shining white peaks of the Pir Panjal mountain range, which highlights Mt. Deo Tibba, Mt Indrasan.

Day 3: Lama Dugh to Riyali Thach

Your third day will be full of altitudes with the best view of Manali and other small villages of Kullu valley. As you begin, you will come across a steep ridge below the Thanpari Tibba that will lead you to another lush oak forest. After four hours of trek, you will be in the middle of the Yirali Thach meadows where you will be camping for the night. The view here is spectacular, overlooking the most famous Rohtang Valley and Solang Valley.

Day 4: Riyali Thach to Base of Kalihani Pass

The fourth day will be the longest day of the trek, as you will be on your feet for almost six hours today. The first three hours will be walking in the meadows, and then the next 2-3 hours will include steep climbing. Then, at last, you will be reaching Kalihani Pass where you will be spending the night with the best-ever view of the white peaks of the Himachal.

Day 5: Base of Kalihani to Devi ki Marhi

Today your trek will get a little more exciting and challenging at the same time. You will be climbing up to the beautiful mountain pass of Himachal, which is 15500 ft. You will start this day with a steep climb over the rocky and rough patches. Once you reach the top, you will feel blissful after visiting the shrine, and also the beautiful 360-degree view will blow your mind. Your adventure will not end here, as you will be climbing downhill crossing few natural frozen lakes to reach Devi ki Marhi for your overnight stay.

Day 6- Devi ki Marhi to Dal Marhi

On your sixth day, you will be entering in the beautiful lush forests again. Your day will start with walking on to a typical Himalayan trail following with the crossing of the Kalihani Nallah, which will gradually lead you into the conifer and oak forests. After crossing a few rivers, you will reach your campsite destination, which is Dal Marhi (3900m).

Day 7: Dal Marhi to Bara Bhangal

On the seventh day, your trek will lead through the Ravi River, eventually passing through rhododendron and birch trees. You will end your trek in Bara Banghal, where you will be camping for the night.

Day 8: Rest Day

This day will be your rest day, as you will be spending some leisurely time gazing at the white peaks while sipping on your favorite hot drink. You can also spend your time exploring the village.

Day 9: Bara Bhangal to Marhi

You will be leaving your camping site in the morning and begin with your trek. Your trek will lead you through the beautiful dense forests of pine, deodar, and birch trees with interconnecting rivers. The view of the white peaks and glaciers will add more charm to your trekking and relief to your eyes.  You will be camping in Marhi (3830m) for the night.

Day 10- Marhi to Plachak

This day trek will be a little challenging as you will again cross the Thamsar Pass at 16000 ft. This will be the highest point in your trek, where you will also get a first look at Kangra. Depending on your speed and pace, you will spend some leisure time at the peak and will begin your descending trek after some time. Your campsite for the day will be Plachak.

Day 11- Plachak to Raigundha to Billing

You will end your trip with easy walking to reach the paragliding state of India. Your trek will take you through some lusher mixed forests of rhododendron and oak trees. On your way, you will also have the most charming view of the Kangra Valley. After reaching back to the destination, you will be provided with transportation to Dharamshala, which is well-connected to all the main cities.
