Trip Overview

Nestled at an elevation of 5319m high, Pin- Parvati is a dream of every trekker. This trek is immensely challenging and tricky, as it falls on higher altitude and its majority of the sections are entirely covered with frozen snow mountains, it presents a mysterious picture of the risky trail. The uncertain trekking trail, the snow carpeted beast mountain ranges, the kinetic moraines, and the lush green alpine woods are some of the highlights of this trek. The trek begins at Kullu, taking you towards the tranquil scenarios of Parvati River, and then finally reaching the serene hot spring at Khir Ganga. While trekking, you would come across the beautiful scenarios of dense woods, death-defying river crossings and a glimpse of nomadic settlements. This trek demands an optimum level of fitness as the trek is challenging, thrilling and heart-warming.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Manikaran 

Just 40 km away from Bhuntar, Manikaran is a holy place for the Sikh community. As soon as you reach Manikaran, meet our representatives and then check in to your hotel. Now, spend the day at leisure. Explore the Manikaran market, and roam around the town. Stay at night in a hotel in Manikaran.

Day 2: Manikaran to Khirganga

Drive to Barsheni village, from that point, you would begin your trek. Through the woods, and steep terrain reaches Khir Ganga which is at 10,006 feet. Khirganga is a holy place, where you would find holy water spring, and then visit a small temple of Lord Shiva. Spend the night at a camp in Khir Ganga. 

Day 3: Khir Ganga – Tundah Bhuj 

Continue your ascent towards the gorge, as the valley widens, the trail passes by the wonderful pastures, vast flora and fauna and astonishing scenarios of nomadic settlement. Arrival at Tundah Bhuj (10,515). Spend this night here in a camp. 

Day 4: Tundah Bhuj – Pandu Bridge 

This trekking trail is mentally and physically challenging due to steep slopes and rugged trails. Once you reach Pandu Bridge, prepare for Camping at Pandu Bridge for the night. 

Day 5: Pandu Bridge  

At first, you would cross a natural bridge, which is known as Pandu Bridge. From there the trail traverses across the flower meadows, and then reach Chota Mantlai (12,729) feet. Stay for overnight camping at Mantalai. 

Day 6: Chota Mantlai to Mantalai Lake

Trek through the picturesque scenarios amidst the mountain ranges and meadows. Then, moving upwards at an elevation of 13,779 feet to Mantlai Lake where you can spend the night camping.

Day 7: Mantalai Lake to High Camp 

Direct steep climb over 1000, feet which take you to the beautiful grassy camp for night at the base of Paravati pass (14,763 feet) where you would spend the night. 

Day 8: High Camp – Pin Parvati – Parvati Valley 

This is the summit day, and on this day you would scale a climb of 17,339 feet. Careful precaution is necessary as the area is over the snowy abyss. After the pass, descend towards the valley to reach the campsite in the Pin Valley at 15,419 feet. Stay overnight in a camp. 

Day 9: Pin Valley – Mud 

From Pin Valley descend towards the Mud Village, which is at 11,811feet. Spend your night in Mud village.

Day 10: Mud – Manali 

Now, from Mud, leisure walk to Kaza, from where you can travel by road to Manali via Kunzum La. Sleep and take shower in hot water. Spend the night in a hotel in Manali. 

Day 11: Reserve Day 

The adventure ends here.
