Explore the mesmerizing Himalayan Range in India with the amazing trekking tour of Mt Hanuman Tibba. Taking place on the western side of the Himalayan range, Mt Hanuman Tibba trek tour promises spectacular views of nature.

Hanuman Tibba is also known as ‘The White Mountain’ and is tallest in the state of Himachal Pradesh located in the Dhauladhar range. It is a challenging trek, even for the moderately experienced climbers. During the expedition, witness breathtaking peaks like Seven Sisters, Ladaki Peak, Friendship Peak, Lady Leg, and Shitidhari Peak, to name a few.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Manali

You arrive in Manali in the morning, and after lunch, with the rest of the group, you check your gears. Spend the evening at your leisure or explore the region.

Day 2: Manali to Bakkar Thach

Early morning, you travel from Manali to Solang Valley, where you start the trek to Bakkar Thach. During the road travel from Manali to Solang Valley, you pass through the Dhundi Village- the last village of the valley where Beas River meets its first tributary. After crossing Dhundi, the trek starts from the coniferous tree line to the high altitude pasture. You walk through Rhododendron shrubs alongside River Beas crossing a bridge and reach the destination. 

Day 3: Bakkar Thach to Beas Kund Glacier

After breakfast, continue your trek journey with an ascent up the Beas Kund Glacier. A short steep climb takes you to a moraine field that winds up in the meadow of the Beas Kund region. Witness the glorifying beauty of nature that includes vast flatland, spread with small boulder and streams, and crowned by giant mountains and hanging glaciers. Reach the campsite at the base of Tentu Pass, a region several kilometers away from Beas Kund.

Day 4: Rest day at Base Camp

Acclimatize at the Base camp and enjoy the rest day eating, sleeping, or exploring the nearby area. You’ll be getting your technical trekking gear, crampon fitting, and also discuss about the upcoming day at the trek. You get trained about climbing from all moderate to difficult levels. The training includes:

  • Self-Arrest Technique
  • Using Fix Ropes and Carabiners
  • Waling with Crampons
  • Basic Knot Practice
  • Ascending and Descending techniques
  • Handling Small Accidents
  • Using of Ice Axe
  • Basic Self-rescue Techniques
     

Day 5: Ice Craft practice on Glacier

The day is meant for orientation and training on ice-climbing.

Day 6: Base Camp to Advanced Camp

Wake up early, and get ready to take your first steps up the mountains at a steep slope of hardened snow. We halt at the camp for lunch, and from this point, we’ll be working together to set up camp, carrying loads, removing the camp, help in washing and cooking, etc. For the following few nights, we’ll be camping on snow.

Day 7: Advanced Camp to Camp One

The day is the most challenging day of the entire expedition, as the trail climbs to the top of Tentu Pass. It is a steep, long, and arduous route. Depending on the snow, the guides will set up fixed ropes for you. Once you reach the pass, you witness a breathtaking view of the other side. After a while, from the ridge, walk a short gradual descent to the campsite.

Day 8: Camp One to Summit Camp

Today you’ll be going to have a flat walk on the glacier that takes around 7 hours to reach the campsite. Have an early dinner and go to sleep to prepare yourself for the next day.

Day 9: Summit Attempt

Wake up early in the morning, right after midnight. After a cup of tea, begin your trek to attempt to reach the summit. You’ll witness the stunning panoramic views of snow-clad peaks of Pir Panjal, Dhauladhar, and other Himalayan Ranges from the summit. After a while, trek to return from the summit, stop at the summit camp for refreshments and break, and then head back to camp for an overnight stay.

Day 10: Reserve day for Summit

The day is for those who weren’t able to make it to the summit the previous day.

Day 11: Summit Camp to Camp 1

The day will be a rest day, so you can spend it in the camp enjoying, eating or sleeping, or can also walk around relishing every bit of nature. This day is also reserved as a buffer day, in case the first summit attempt is called off due to bad weather or other reasons.

Day 12: Camp 1 to Base Camp

Start the day with a descent to Tentu Pass towards the base camp. Walk slowly watching your steps due to the challenging route you have to pass through. After a while, it is going to be a pleasant slide downhill. Reach base camp for an overnight stay and enjoy a well-deserved feast.

Day 13: Base Camp to Manali

This will be the last day of the trek. After a good night’s sleep and lazy breakfast, you head down to Dhundi. You’ll be traveling by road back to Manali. Upon reaching, have a bath and take rest, then get ready for drinks and celebrations in the evening. Next day, off to your next destination or back home.
