Trip Overview
Chadar Trek is a glamorous and thrilling trek in Ladakh with extreme weather conditions ranging between -15 and -30 degrees Centigrade. The Zanskar River is a major highlight of this trek that freezes during the winter to become a crystalline ice sheet. Trek through high altitude zones and capture stunning views for a sense of achievement. Walk on the frozen glass-like river with dramatic mountain scenery on either side and find refuge in caves. Undoubtedly, the Chadar trek is like no other trek in the Himalayas and will delight every visitor who witnesses it.

Itinerary
- Day 1: Arrival at Leh
The guests are supposed to report to the hotel for a brief orientation session. The rest of the day is free to explore the city or the guests can spend leisure time at the hotel.
- Day 2: Drive to Tilat Do via Chilling and trek to TsumoPaldar
After having breakfast, we will begin the tour with a scenic drive and witness the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar River. Follow the Zanskar River till Tilat Do, from where we will commence with the trekking. We will have to cross the Zanskar to reach the campsite for an overnight stay.
- Day 3: Trek to Tibb Cave
Get up early at 07:00 AM for breakfast and begin with the ‘Chadar’ trek. Today we will be covering almost 10-12 km and trek till Tibb cave, where we will spend the night in trekking tents.
- Day 4: Trek to Nyerak Village
Today we will trek along the gorges on Nyerak village and cross a huge frozen waterfall. We will stay the night at a campsite just below Nyerak.
- Day 5: Trek to Lingshed
- Day 6: Trek to Warsangdo
- Day 7:Trek to Pishu
- Day 8: Trek to Karsha
- Day 9: Drive to Padum and return to Karsha
- Day 10: Trek to Warsangdo
- Day 11: Trek to Lingshed
- Day 12: Trek to Nyerak
- Day 13: Trek to Tibb Cabe
We will begin to retrace our steps after breakfast and trek along the Zanskar River. The river will look different due to the change in temperature and sunlight. We will stay the night in tents at Tibb Cave.
- Day 14: Trek to Gyalpo
Today we will retrace our steps back to Gyalpo and spend the night in tents.
- Day 15: Trek to Tilat Do
This will be the last day of the trek and we will cross the Zanskar River once again. Board the vehicles that will drive us to Leh. We will check into a hotel and spend the night here, marking the end of this wonderful trek.

Good to Know
All the guests are requested to carry the following documents:
- Medical Certificate, issued not more than 25 days from the start date of the trek
- Photocopy and an original Government Photo Identity card
- Disclaimer form
- A wildlife fee of INR 2000 (Indians) and INR 2500 (foreigners) is applied by the Leh government. The fee is not a part of the package cost and one may have to pay the fee during the reporting time.
