Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
    After arrival in Delhi, we will first visit the IMF (Indian Mountaineering Foundation) to complete any formalities and briefings. The guests can explore the city and visit India Gate, Lodhi Garden, and Humayun’s tomb or rest for the day.
  • Day 2: Drive from Delhi to Rishikesh
    Witness a 7-hour scenic drive from Delhi to Rishikesh, after breakfast and check-in the hotel. The guests can either rest or visit the Laxman Jhula, Shiva Mandir, and other famous attractions in Rishikesh. Enjoy the evening aarti and recreation activities, followed by an overnight stay at a hotel.
  • Day 3: Drive from Rishikesh to Uttarkashi
    Enjoy early breakfast and begin a picturesque drive to Uttarkashi, crossing the Bhagirathi River. We will also complete all sorts of local administration and visit the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, the top mountaineering institute in India. We will spend the night in a hotel.
  • Day 4 : Drive from Uttarkashi to Gangotri
    Today we will enjoy a beautiful drive to Gangotri, which will take approximately 6 hours. Halt at Gangnani and have a holy dip in the hot springs. Continue drive to Gangotri and acclimatize for the day.
  • Day 5: Gangotri to Nala Camp
    Today we will begin our trek to the Nala Camp and cross the Rudugaira River on the way. Follow the ascending trail to reach the beautiful campsite beside a lush meadow on the banks of Rudugaira River.
  • Day 6& 7: Nala Camp to Base Camp
    We will trek to the Base Camp and acclimatize for 2 days. During our stay at the Base camp, we will test our technical skills, study the weather, and understand the terrain of the route. All the trekkers will be briefed about the plan and practice the following activities for two days:
  • Self-arrest technique
  • Using fix ropes
  • Attaching and detaching carabiners
  • Trekking with Crampons
  • Ways to tie knots
  • Ascending and descending techniques
  • Self-rescue techniques
  • Handling common accidents
  • Using Ice axe
  • Day 8: Stay at base Camp; Load ferry to ABC and return
    We will load ferry and transfer it to the advanced base camp. Head back to Base Camp for overnight camp.
  • Day 9: Base Camp to Advanced Base Camp
    Vacate the Base camp and trek towards the Advanced Base Camp for setup.
  • Day 10: Rest Day at ABC
    We will acclimatize at the Advanced Base Camp and practice a short height gain. Spend the night at ABC.
  • Day 11: Load ferry to Summit Camp and return to ABC
    Once again we will load ferry to Summit Camp and return to ABC for overnight stay.
  • Day 12: Set up Summit Camp
    We will leave ABC and set up the Summit Camp today.
  • Day 13: Attempt to the Summit
    Today we will be our first attempt to the summit. If we are successful, we will head back to the Summit Camp. Overnight we will stay at the summit camp.
  • Day 14: Another day to Summit
    This day is also reserved for the Summit Camp and we will spend the night there.
  • Day 15: Summit Camp to ABC
    Descend to the Advanced Base Camp for an overnight stay.
  • Day 16: Descend to BC
    Vacate ABC and descend down to Base Camp.
  • Day 17: Rest Day
    Explore the surrounding area and spend the night at Base camp.
  • Day 18: Base Camp to Gangotri
    Trek back to Gangotri and stay the night in a hotel.
  • Day 19: Drive from Gangotri to Uttarkashi
    Today we will drive back to Uttarkashi and enjoy scenic landscapes on the way.
  • Day 20: Drive from Uttarkashi to Delhi
    Travel to Delhi by road and witness a beautiful drive.
  • Day 21: Departure from Delhi
    We will visit the IMF in the morning and complete the remaining formalities, followed by departure.
