Trip Overview

Roopkund Trek invites you to be a part of thrilling plus enthusiastic trek amidst alluring virgin woods, splashing streams, awe-struck campsites and enticing meadows. You would get the opportunity to climb 8000ft to 16000ft. Also, you would get to witness the idyllic scenarios of Roopkund Glacial Lake.

Itinerary

Day 1:

You would be picked up from the Kathgodam Railway station at 7.00 am and then drive towards the Lohajung Base Camp. You would arrive at Lohajung around 6-7 pm.

Day 2:

On this day, your trek starts, you would trek from Lohajung to Didina. Then, homestay at Didina, which is 8 km, and might take 5 hours

Day 3:

You would start your trek from Didina to Bedini Bugyal which would take 6-7 hours to cover at least 8 km.

Day 4:

To cover another 8 km, it might take 7-8 hours; the route would be Bedini Bugyal to Bhagwabhasa.

Day 5:

It would take around 10 hours to cover the distance of 12 km, from Bhagwabhasa to Roopkund and then to Patar Nachuni.

Day 6:

Prepare yourself to trek for 4 hours that is 6 km, which is from Patar Nachuni to Ghairoli Patal.

Day 7:

On this day, you trek from Ghairoli Patal to Lohajung via wan which is entirely 5 km and might take 6 hours.

Day 8 :

On this day, you depart for Kathgodam. You would reach Kathgodam around 6-7 pm.

Good to Know

All the participants are requested to carry trek essential clothing like trekking boots, trekking pants, down jackets, fleece jackets, pair of thermals, cotton t-shirts, cap, balaclava, toiletries, personal medical kit, sunscreen and sunglasses.
