Highlights:
Day 1: Arrival at Leh
You take an early morning flight from New Delhi Indira Gandhi Internation Airport to Leh. On arrival, a representative of Zanskar Kanishka Trek meets you and transfers you to a hotel.
Day 2: Sightseeing
The day starts with morning sightseeing of Shankar Gompa and modern Shanti Stupa. During the time you also adapt to the high altitude.
Day 3: Leh- Pishu
Early morning drive from Leh to Pishu village where you meet your porter and drive further by jeep to Chilling Village for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Chadar Trek Begin
Today the Chadar Trek begins, where you walk on the frozen Zanskar River from Chilling to Zaribago and complete the trek of 5 hours.
Day 5: Zaribago- Deepyokma
The day begins with a walk on the frozen Zanskar River for around 4 hours from Zaribago to Deepyokama. After reaching the destination, you’ll camp in a cave for the night.
Day 6: Deepyokma- Nyrakpulu
The walk for the day involves 4-5 hours trekking from Deepyokma to Nyrakpulu, passing below the Nyarak Village Camp.
Day 7: Nyarakpulu- Lingshed
Leave Nyrakpul in the morning, and walk for one hour to reach Lingshed Village. You stay at a comfortable private house with heating and relax.
Day 8: Rest Day at Lingshed
The day is meant to rest and relax in the warmth of a private home in Lingshed. You can walk around and explore places, visit the monastery, and meet monks and villagers.
Day 9: Lingshed- Nyarakpulu
Start early in the morning from Lingshed to Nyarakpulu which will take about 5 hours to reach the campsite.
Day 10: Nyarakpulu- Tso Mopoaldar
Start early in the morning from Nyarakpulu to Tso Mopoaldar which takes about four hours.
Day 11: Tso Mopoaldar- Tilatdo
You start the walk from Tso Mopoaldar to Tilatdo passing through scenic landscapes, and the trek takes around five hours.
Day 12: Tilatdo- Chilling Village
Start the walk in the early morning from Tilardo to Chilling Village, and then a jeep takes you back to Leh by the evening.
Day 13: Rest Day at Leh
Take rest in Leh and explore nearby places and markets to shop for friends and family.
Day 14: Flight Back to Delhi
You board an early morning flight back to New Delhi next day and check into your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 15: International Travel
Day at leisure, and then a staff of Zanskar Kanishka Trek transfers you to the International airport by late evening or early morning for your flight back home.
