Trip Overview

Kareri Lake Trek is a short and amazing trip for someone who wants to spend time amidst the wonders of nature. Mysterious woods, grazing sheep, snow-clad mountains, wonderful valleys, beautiful blue skies, and tranquil aura lets you relax and calm down. The lake itself is fed by the melting snow from the Dhaulagiri ranges, presenting its reflection on the blue water making it an ideal destination for photographers. Situated at an altitude of 9626 feet, Kareri Lake is also known as a trekker’s paradise.

Itinerary

Day 1: Snow Monk Camp – Daled Base Camp 

You would arrive at 8:00 am, at the beautiful Snow Monk Campsite in the wonderful ethnic Salli Village. The campsite is located at the upper end of the village, and this is the point from where your trek begins. The trekking trail will traverse across the beautiful dense forests, which would lead you to the alluring scenarios of Dhaulagiri. Stay overnight in tents. 

Day 2: Trek to the beautiful Kareri Lake 

On this day, you will begin your trek to the steep climb that would take you over the ridge, along the river. Now, you can spend some time, exploring and roaming around the lake to witness the tranquil atmosphere. Stay overnight in tents. 

Day 3: Daled Base Camp – Snow Monk Camp 

After breakfast, you are supposed to trek back down to the Snow Monk Camp. Once you are here, you are free to proceed further. Your trip ends here.
