Annapurna Base Camp Trek – Best two weeks plus moderate+ trek in Himalaya

Annapurna trekking is among those few treks in Nepal that combines such a great diversity of landscapes and culture and bring you so close to the foothill of gigantic ice giants in such time period. This trek is the perfect combination of incredible Himalayan visits and cultural diversity. Walking along the cultivated farmlands, cultural villages, magical rhododendron forest and alpine landscapes, ABC trek offers great opportunity to witness the soaring peaks without having altitude problem.

During Annapurna Base Camp Trip, we stay at local-owned teahouse which allows us to interact with local and understand their culture and lifestyle closely. The ethnic group of Magar and Gurung are the major inhabitant of the region; they are well-known for their bravery in Gurkha Battalion.

Nepal Annapurna Base Camp trek commences at Nayapul: one and half hour drive north from main city of Pohara. We start the trek with ascend to Ghorepani and further make a pre-dawn hike to the Poon Hill for mesmerizing sunrise view. Here we enjoy the view of fifth highest mountain, Dhaulagiri soaring high in skyline and Annapurna south and Machhapuchhre standing in front of us. The view from Poon Hill is one of the best part of Annapurna treks. Hiking to Poon hill is also the best way to acclimatize at higher altitude before starting a trip to Annapurna Base Camp.
