Trip Overview

Among all the trekking routes in the Annapurna Region Ghorepani Poon hill (3210m) is the most popular and the easiest trekking route . Ghorepani is a village that lies in Myagdi District in the Dhaulagiri Zone of northern-central Nepal. It is just 17 kilometers away from Beni (Headquarter of Myagdi). The surroundings area of the Annapurna region is protected by the Annapurna Conservation.

We start the Ghorepani poonhill trek from the most beautiful city in the world, Pokhara. We take a short drive from Pokhara to Phedi. The Ghorepani poonhill trek winds beautiful forests of Rhododendron and terraced fields. Then you have the famous sunrise views over the Himalayas from Poonhill. Along with all of this natural beauty you have a chance to experience the unique Gurung culture and long lasting traditions in Ghandruk and Landruk villages. Along this trek you will enjoy views of Mt. Annapurna (8091m), Machhpuchre (6998m), Nilgiri (7041m) and many more mountains.
