Hadimba Devi Temple

Hadimba Devi Temple is one of the most famous attractions of Manali. Located in the Lush green forest of Deodar Hadimba Temple is a four storey wooden temple constructed in 1553. It is 2.5 Kilometers away from the main Mall Road. The Temple is dedicated to the Goddess Hadimba who was the wife of the strongest Pandava Bheem.

The temple is open between 8AM till 6PM and other than exploring the temple there are many other activities ( like Yak Riding, Local Market etc ) to do in the temple complex.

Overall, You can spend a good 3-4 Hours in Hadimba Temple.

LamaDugh Trek

Based in the Lap of Lush Green forests of Pine, Oak and Deodar LamaDugh Trek is another Famous Attraction of Manali. If you are in Manali and want to explore the Beauty of Himalayas in Isolation and away from the crowded Mall Road then this trek will be your best Option.

The best part about this trek is that it is a 4-5 Hour Nature walk in the Himalayas and can be easily done by anyone. One can Experience the majestic panoramic views of Deo Tibba, Indrasan, Bara Shigri Etc.

The trek is accessible throughout the year, though it is not advisable to go on this trek during the rainy season as the trail turns out to be muddy and slippery and there are also chances of Landslides. Trekking to Lama dugh in winters has its own kind of experience.

Solang Valley

Solang Valley is a famous adventure spot of Manali. This valley is a perfect destination for all age groups of tourists and one has a wide adventure sports option from Paragliding to Zorbing & Skiing. It is 13 kilometers away from Manali mall road and has a good connectivity of private and shared cabs.

Its long ground slopes make it the perfect location for adventures like Zorbing & Paragliding whereas in winters the same becomes the perfect area for skiing and other snow related adventures. Even if you are not an Adventure head you can still visit this place to enjoy the majestic alpine Views of the valley.

Being a famous tourist attraction in North India, Solang valley can face long hours of traffic in peak seasons. Therefore it is advisable to leave early morning for Solang valley.

Rohtang Pass

Located at an Altitude of approximately 4000 meters, Rohtang Pass is a gateway to Lahul and Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh. This is one of the most visited passes in India with almost 25 lakhs tourists every year.

It is around 50 kilometers away from the main town of Manali and is accessible via road between the months of April till last week of october depending upon the weather conditions in the region.

You need a special Pass to go to Rohtang pass which is provided by the Indian Army. You get to see the amazing Panoramic view of Mighty Himalayas and Valleys from the pass.

The pass is not accessible in winters due to heavy Snowfall but one can easily experience a good amount of snow in the last week of April or May. One can also go on a trek to Beas Kund, the Holy Hindu site as it is easily reachable from Rohtang Pass.

If you have your own Vehicle then you would need a e-permit to go to Rohtang pass. You can apply for this pass online on Himachal Pradesh Tourism website. In case You don’t have your own vehicle then private and shared cabs are easily available from Manali for Rohtang.

Naggar Castle

Known for its Traditional Himalayan Style built Structure, Naggar Castle was known to be the capital of the district of Kullu for more than 1500 years.It is around 25 kilometers away from Manali & was built by Raja Sidh Singh of Kullu in 1460 A.D. The Authentic Western Himalayan Architecture along with the Museum that gives you the glimpse of the arts of Himachal Pradesh, makes Naggar Castle a perfect Spot for a Day Out when in Manali.

This castle was converted into a heritage hotel back in 1978 and was handed over to HPTDC. You will be able to enjoy a picturesque view of the splendid Kullu Valley from Naggar Castle.

Even if you do not want to spend the night in the castle you can still visit the castle and explore most part of it with a small entry fee of 30 inr.
